Shri Vishwa Nirmala Dham Brahmapuri
Shri Vishwa Nirmala Dham Brahmapuri
Brahmapuri, a sacred place specially blessed by H.H. Shri Mataji is situated on the bank of the river Krishna in Satara district of Maharashtra State. Western Sahajyogis stayed here for 3 days in every winter from 1984 - 85 to 1990 - 91. They were asked to stay at Brahmpuri in lonely place on the bank of river with thick vegetation of trees and shrubs as if in forest. During this period, H.H. shri Mataji also stayed in ordinary shed – store cum residence of the wathchman of the Irrigation Department of Maharashtra State.
During this seven years stay, Six Sakar Pujas were performed by Western Sahajyogis. In addition, two times during first and last years of stay, H.H. was worshiped by flowing river water on the rock in the river bed where form Shri Ramadasa had found idols of Shri Ram-Sita and Devi Angalai. Out of Six Sakar Pujas, first One ( Jan 85 ) was performed near main temple of Shri Vitthal Rukhmai at Brahmapuri, three in front the shed where Shri Matatji was residing and two were performed in each of the two adjoining fields in front, north of this shed.
Kolhapur Type Weir ( K.T. Weir ) i.e. Vasant Bandhara is constructed by the Irrigation Dept. of Maharashtra at this place on the river Krishna near this shed which adds to the beauty of this place.
In ancient time, as the disciples used to stay in lonely places in forest at the Ashrams of their spiritual Gurus, Shri Mataji during those initial years also asked all seekers from the Western World to stay at this Chaitanya Bhumi where she as mother and Guru imparted practical training of Sahajyoga to the Western seekers.
It is said that from ancient time, the tapaswis and yogis stayed here and did tapa & Yoga. Similarly seekers from the Western World stayed at this place and received training of Sahajyoga from H.H. Shri. Mataji. Thus this is very important place, intentionally chosen by H. H. Shri Mataji to give practical training to the seekers in Her Divine work of spreading Sahajyoga in different countries of the World.
Shri Matatji chose this place for Her Divine work because Shri Mataji had been here in her previous three incarnations i.e. 7th Shri. Sita-Rama, 8th Shri Radha - Krishna and 9th Shri Jesus-Mary mata. This is evident from the fact that Shri Samarth Ramdasa – incarnation of Shri Hanumana had found idols of Shri. Rama - Sita and Devi Angalai in the deep waters of the river Krishna at this place. Shri Mataji Herself had told the inside meaning of the word Angalai i.e. Angla+Aai-mother Mary Mata is here at this place, they are coming to stay and practice Sahajyoga here. Shri Mataji also told the Western Sahajyogis that Shri Samarth Ramdasa was Hanumana himself who took out these idols from deep waters here indicating that during Ramayana period, Shri. Rama – Sita stayed here at Brahmapuri. The main temple at Brahmapuri is of Vitthal Rukhumai i.e. Yogayogeshwar Shri Krishna and river Krishna means Shri Krishna Shakti Which is flowing through this place.
Durig Maharashtra period, it is said that the five Pandavas stayed atPateshwar nearby place from Brahmapuri and did Tapasya and gained powers to succeed in their battle agains Asuraas and Kauravas. Thus during Mahabharat period, the Pandawas and Shri Krishna had connection with this land. For all these reasons, Shri Mataji during this tenth incarnation also stayed at this place. Thus Brahmapuri is the place where Shri Rama – Sita ( Anadhat ), Shri Krishna (Vishuddhi), Jejus – Mary ( Adnya ) and Adishakti Shri Mataji (Sahasrar) had stayed. During periods of their last four that is 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th incarnations respectively. This is as per the Divine plane for accent of human beings. Consequently this has been the Yoga Bhumi for the Sahajyogis from all over the world.
It is said that God – Godesses used to gather here for various Divine functions ( Brahma – Sabhas ). Furthur, Brahmapuri when He attended the Maha Yadnya which was performed at pateshwar. Because of all this, the Brahmachaitanya is experienced at this place & hence the place is called Brahmapuri. When in early eighties Shri Mataji used to visit various places in Maharashtra along with many yogis from round the globe; she asked Sahaja Yogis to arrange the stay of all these yogis in real jangle then city- cement jangle. So the stay of Shri Mataji & of all yogis ware arranged at Bramhapuri in year Dec 1984 for first time. Shri Mataji & yogis from round the word visited Bramhapuri for 7 Years every year thereafter. 7 Sakar pujas of Shri Mataji were performed here.
During her stay, while travelling from or to Brahmapuri, during evening hours, Shri Mataji, while pointing towards the lights on mountains, many times enquired about the place Pateshwar indicating the spiritual importance of the place and its realation with the Adishakti. Hence, while tracing the history, it is learned that during ancient period, Maha Yadnya was performed at pateshwar by the King Daksha prajapati. Though all God – Goddess were invited for the Maha Yadnya, King did not invited his daughter Goddess Sati and Her Husband Lord Shiva as he hated them and did not accept Lord Shiva as suitable Husband for his daughter Sati. Thus king Daksha Prajapati insulted the couple by not inviting them for this great function. However, Goddess sati attended this function at Her fathers place. But Her father shown lot of hatrate towards Her and Lord Shiva and insulted Her at every opportunity. Insulted Goddess Sati in Her Pride wanted to show the greatness of Her Husband Lord Shiva by sacrificing Her life and hence offered Herself to this Maha Yadnya. Looking the Sacrifice of His wife, angry Lord Shiva did Tandava at the place by holding Parthiva of the Goddess Sati in his hand. During this Tandava, parts of the Parthiva were scattered at different places in India, which were erupted as Shakti Peethas. Out of this fifty two Shakti peethas, three and half ( Kundalini ) are in Maharashtra. Pateshwar- Brahmapuri is the original place and hence is the Adipeeeth (Sahasrar).
During her first year stay (Jan.85) at Brahmapuri, on very first day, Mother entered the river water, sit on rock where H.H. was worshiped by yogis by flowing river water. At this place only, the idols were found by Shri Ramdasa. At this unique occasion the atmosphere around was changed, picture of Shri Ganesha had appeared on eastern face of the standing rock. During Dec. 1990, last year of this seven years camps of western seekers, H.H. was also worshiped by flowing river water at the same place in the river bed.
At this occasion, the atmosphere was such as if all God- Godesses had gathered to withness this occasion.
Onnce when Shri Adishakti had arrived at Brahmapuri, late in the evening, She asked the yogis to listen the melodious sound of Krishna river water falling through the Vasant Bandhara and said Shri Krishna Shakti is singing to Wel- come H.H. Shri Mataji to this place. Further once Shri Mataji had asked western sahajyogis about the place which they enjoyed most during their tours to Maharashtra ( 1976 – 77 to 1990 -91 ), they immediately spoke of Brahmapuri. More than once, Shri Mataji had expressed that Brahmapuri is Her place.
During those years (1984 – 90), in Her Divine presence the efforts were made to procure some land for its development as Worshiping place for Vishwa Nirmala Dharmiya from all over the World. In year 2000 Shri Mataji asked that, as she worked in Bramhapuri a permanent place for worship for sahajyogis from word should be done at Bramhapuri. She directed prof. S T Kenjale to from a trust with the help of local yogis to develop the Bramhapuri as world sahajyoga worship center.
Now with grace & blessing of H.H. Shri Mataji, the desired three viabrationally precious land areas are purchased by Shri Vishwa Nirmala Dham Charitable Trust Satara. This Trust is registered with the grace, blessings, approval, and directives by H.H. Shri Mataji on 20th November 2003 with the sole object of building a World Level “Shri Vishwa Nirmala Dham” a Maha Tirth for sahaj yogis of present and future generations from all over the world with Shri Adishakti Nirmaladevi Temples Ashrams and requisite structures at appropriate sites on both right and left banks of the river.
With the blessing and permission of H.H. Shri Mataji, the funds are raised through donations of local and visiting Sahajyogis and the Trust has, ----------
1) Purchased 45 gunthas land between the shed and the rock from the revenue area of village Dhamner. On this field, one Sakar Puja was performed during Dec. 1989. In this field, there is a small temple of Shri Bhavani .
Interestingly, one structure named Bhavani Mata Nahani(Bathing place of Devi Bhavani ) is located adjascent to the river bed in line with the shed and the place in the river bed where Shri Mataji was worshiped by the flowing river water. It is learned from the local people that the people used to come here for taking bath with the water from this tank like structure, the holy place, with the firm belief that with this water, they get cured of any skin diseases. Still some of the people do visit this place for worshipin and offering flowers and coconut. Some of the Sahajyogis also got cured rock by the sides of outflowing stream of this Nahani .
The rock by the side, south of this Nahani is called as Shri Ram Rock by the local people. Adjuscent to this Shri Rama rock is the portion of deep water from where the idols were found by Shri Ramdas .
This indicate that Sitamai during Her stay at this place used this Nahani as bathing place. Sitamai is on right heart and Bhavani Mata that is Maha Saraswati is on right channel that is Pingla. Thus, it confirms that Bhavanimata Nahani is Sita Nahani. For all these spiritual reasons, the trust proposes to build a Saharar Temple of Shri Aadishakti Nirmaladevi at this site. The Trust has also undertaken Jirnoddhar ( renovation ) of this Bhavani Mata Nahani.
2) Adjascent tp the above, 25 gunthas land is purchased from Rahimatpur town revenue area. It is on hillmate on the left bank, south east of proposed Sahasrar Temple. Approach road, compound wall, wel etc . are already constructed at this site. Furthuer on spacious and attractive building is constructed for the use of visiting Sahaj Yogis for Sahaj mediattion programmes.
At this site, the construction of Anahat Mandir and Mandap is progress. At Basement of this Mandap, six rooms, are constructed for staying of yogis comming from different parts of India and abroad.
The another piece of land of 65 gunthas on right bank of the river Krishna exactly opposite to the proposed Adishakti (Sahasrar) temple is purchased. This land is adjoining to the north of Shri Shiv temple of Angapur village. This site is on still higher elevation along river side from Shri Shive Temple upto the Vasant Bandhara (plate 10 )
At this place, it is proposed to build Temples of Devi Angali ( Adnya ) and Shri Hanumana and Ashram with huts – bamboo houses surrounded by trees and ornamental & medilcation will be made available at this Ashram.
Though all these three sites are from three different village area, they are adjacent to each other, central point being the place where Shri. Mataji was worshiped on the rock in the river bed and also the place where the idols of Shri Rama – Sita & Devi Angalai were found by Shri Ramadasa.
Efforts to procure fourth vibrationally precious land of about 11 acres near main temple of Vitthal – Rukhmai are being done. At this site, first Sakar Puja at Brahmapuri ( Jan. 85 ) was performed. The trust propossess to construct Vishuddhi Temple and establish various other projects at this site in order to achieve various objects of the trust.
Due to various spiritual reasons explained above, a World Level Shri Vishwa Nirmala Dham with Anahat, Vishuddhi,Adnya and Sahsarar temples of Shri. Adishakti. Nirmaladevi are to be built at Brahmapuri with the involvement of sahajyogis from all over the world. As was permitted the funds from local and visiting sahajyogis were raised and are / being utilized as above. Now for further construction, expansion and development of Shri Vishwa Nirmala Dham, necessary financial help through donations in the name of Shri Vishwa Nirmala Dham Charitable Trust by sahajyogis from all over the world is highly desired.
We pray to H.H.Shri. Mataji for the Divine Love and Blessings for Fulfillment of our pure desire to buildup Shri Vishwa Nirmala Dham at Brahmapuri.
